From 8 November 2022, it is required to verify your email address before you are able to use Grasple.

Up to 8 November 2022, you will get prompted on login to verify you email address.

Why do I have to verify my email?

We require email verification for your safety and the safety of others. There are three main reasons:

  • If you forget your password, you can only reset it by requesting a reset link which will be emailed to you. If you don't have access to the email address, this means you might loose access to your account forever. To prevent this, you need to verify your email address.

  • Malicious people might want to try to use your email address at Grasple for malicious purposes. To prevent any misusage of other people's email addresses we will require the user to verify they own the email address before being able to use Grasple.

  • In case we need to inform you about important changes to your account or our platform (e.g. privacy policy or terms of use updates), we need to be sure we can reach you such that you stay informed about your account, privacy and any important changes.

When do I have to verify my email address?

You will be prompted to verify you email address in the following three scenarios. In all three scenarios an email will be send to you automatically.

  1. Registering a new account

  2. Login with your email and password (and you haven't verified your email before)

  3. Changing your email address

What if I change my email address?

You can change your email address in the profile page in Grasple. If you change your email address, you need to verify your new email address before you can use Grasple again. You will be prompted to verify your new email address as soon as you updated your profile with a new email address.
