NOTE: this functionality is only available for organisation admins
As functional manager of Grasple within your university you want to have an overview of how Grasple is being used within your organisation. The admin panel is the perfect place for you get a broad oversight of Grasple's usage in your organisation.
The admin panel gives you an overview of:
Courses including their status and number of students currently enrolled
Repositories including the number of items and numbers, and the possibility to create shared repositories
Teachers including their courses and repositories
Users including their student ID
To get to the admin panel, click on the button "Admin Panel" in the top right of the navigation bar.

What information is available in the admin panel?
Getting to the admin panel
To get to the admin panel, click on the button "Admin Panel" in the top right of the navigation bar.
This will get you to the overview page of your organisation. Here you can get a quick overview of
the number of users
the number of teachers
the number of courses
the number of repositories
the newest courses
the newest repositories
Courses overview
Go to the courses overview by clicking "View all" below "#courses" or on the right of the "Newest Courses" section in the overview screen.
NOTE: the courses page shows a first page of courses. You can load more courses by scrolling down and clicking "Load more courses".
You can navigate to each course by navigating clicking on either the name or the id. The organisation admin has (almost) teacher level access to all courses in the organisation. This means you can view all course content, manage students, manage the teaching team, and see the results of all of the test. The only difference between teachers and organisation admins within a course is that organisation admins cannot change the marking of a student answer in tests.
To see the teachers in a specific course, click on the button in the column "#teachers" for the specific course. This will show more information about the users in the course.
To hide/show certain columns, click on the icon in the right. This will show a new menu giving you the columns you can hide/show by clicking the checkbox.
Course status
Newly created courses will always get the initial status 'Building'. It is possible to manually change this status by selecting a different status from the dropdown menu shown in each row:
To filter on status you should click the button with the filter icon and "status". This will show a new menu with the statuses to filter on. Click the checkboxes to enable/disable the filter.
Searching
You can search for courses in your organisation via the search bar in the top. Specify part of the name and press enter. You will see all courses corresponding to your search. See the example below:
NOTE: If you want to see all courses again, delete your search text and press enter (or the search button). This will show you all the courses again.
You can also use advanced search options like AND, OR, "" and - to combine terms (with AND or OR), search on exact matches by adding quotes and exclude terms by using the minus sign in front of the term.
You can navigate back to the overview screen, by clicking "back to [ORGANISATION] overview".
Repositories overview
Go to the repositories overview by clicking "View all" below "#repositories" or on the right of the "Newest Repositories" section in the overview screen.
NOTE: the repositories page shows a first page of repositories. You can load more repositories by scrolling down and clicking "Load more repositories".
In the repositories overview you can do the following:
navigate to the repositories in the list
see the users in the repository
sort on ID or created at date
hide/show columns
make a repository available to your organisation
You can navigate to each repository by navigating clicking on either the name or the id. The organisation admin has admin level access to all repositories in the organisation. This means you can edit all the content in the repository and manage the users of each repository.
To see the users in a specific repository, click on the button in the column "#users" for the specific repository. This will show more information about the users in the repository.
The type column shows whether a repository is private (e.g. only available for the users in the repository) or organisation (e.g. available for all teachers in your organisation).
As an organisation admin you can change the type of the repository using the dropdown in the type column:
After selecting a different option the platform will ask for a confirmation, after which the type of the repository is changed:
Searching
You can search for repositories in your organisation via the search bar in the top. Specify part of the name and press enter. You will see all repositories corresponding to your search. See the example below of searching on a partial name:

Teachers overview
Go to the teachers overview by clicking "View all" below "#teachers" in the overview screen.
NOTE: the teachers page shows a first page of teachers. You can load more teachers by scrolling down and clicking "Load more teachers".
In the teachers overview screen you can do the following:
search for teachers by partial name or email
see which courses and repositories the teachers are in
sort on ID, email or created at date
hide/show columns
Searching
You can search for teachers in your organisation via the search bar in the top. Specify part of the name or email address and press enter. You will see all teachers corresponding to your search. See the example below of searching on a partial email.
NOTE: If you want to see all teachers again, delete your search text and press enter (or the search button). This will show you all the teachers again.
Navigate to course or repository
To see which courses and repositories a specific teacher is in, click on the button in the column "#courses" or "#repositories" for the specific teacher. This will show more information about the teacher.
You can navigate to that course or repository by clicking on the name (see blue highlighted repository name in the example below).
User search
Go to the user overview by clicking "search users" below "#users" in the overview screen. This page enables administrators to verify whether a user exists in the organisation, regardless of their role.
NOTE: the user page only shows users after performing a search. Users can be searched through exact matches on email address or student ID.
