How does RPNow Proctoring Integration work?

The integration with RPNow (i.e. the PSI Browser) works based on a shared password between the Grasple test and the exam/test configured in RPNow.

When having the integration enabled in the Grasple test, you are required to provide the password a student needs to enter before being able to start the exam. This password should not be shared with the students directly but be used to configure the test in RPNow.

When a students opens the test in the PSI Browser, they select the right exam and can use the button "enter password" once they are on the starting page of the Grasple test. The browser enters the password in the right field and the student can press "start test" to start their test session.

Before starting the test session we check whether the password is correct (i.e. the same as the teacher configured in the Grasple test). If this is not correct, the student gets feedback the password is incorrect. The student probably selected the wrong test in the RPNow browser, or the teacher made an error in the configuration.

Example start in Grasple with RPNow integration enabled

When having the RPNow integration enabled, the start screen of a test shows additional information:

  • Student information such that the proctoring agent has this in view as well

  • A password field
