Information per step
1. Get in touch with us
Before taking any next steps, get in touch with us through support@grasple.com to ensure we can support you through this process!
We will provide you with the correct configuration details for the Tool, Deployment and Quicklink.
2. Create new Tool, Tool Deployment and Tool Deep-Link Quicklink
Login to your Brightspace environment as administrator
Create new tool
From the Admin Tools menu, click External Learning Tools and create a new tool
Fill in the form fields as provided by Grasple
Name
Domain
Redirect URIs (please add both URIs)
OpenID Connect Login URL
Keyset URL
"Extensions"
Assignment and Grade Services
Deep Linking
"Roles"
Send Institution Role
Create Tool Deployment
Fill in the form fields as provided by Grasple to create the deployment
Name
Use the security settings as shown in the screenshot below
Do not forget to enable the tool!
Create Deep-Link Quicklink
Navigate to Brightspace Deployment Details
Click on "View Links" below the Deployment Id to open Links
Click on "New Link" to create a new link
Check the form fields as provided by tool creation
Name
URL
Description
Define type: Deep Linking Quick Link
Do not forget to enable link!
3. Share Brightspace information with Grasple
View the details of the tool via "Brightspace Registration Details" and collect the following information:
Client ID
Brightspace Keyset URL
Brightspace OAuth2 Access Token URL
OpenID Connect Authentication Endpoint
Brightspace OAuth2 Audience
Issuer
View the details of the deployment via "Brightspace Deployment Details" and collect the following information:
Deployment Id
Email the above information to your Grasple contact
We will configure the installation on our side and will confirm once the LTI1.3 integration is live.
4. Verify the correct installation of Grasple as a tool in Brightspace
To verify the correct installation of Grasple in Brightspace, take the following steps:
Go to a course where Grasple Deep Linking is enabled
Go to a content section of a course in Brightspace
Click ‘Add Existing Activities’ and select ‘Grasple’
Accept the privacy question pop-up
Select module to be linked
Click on module to see if it is properly linked
Click on content and see subjects
Click on a subject and see description
