Generate Text in your Exercises

In addition to the AI Exercise Builder, you can also update your current exercises by using AI to generate text. For example, generate detailed solutions for your current exercises with a single click!

Creating good feedback texts, like detailed solutions or specific feedback, takes time. AI can help you as teacher to quickly generate a first version of the (feedback) text allowing you to quickly adapt it exactly to your liking.

This saves you a lot of time, while helping your students learn from their mistakes via the feedback. It is one of the most powerful things Grasple can offer your students.

How to generate text?

To generate text for any existing exercise, go to the exercise and hover/click on/in the box you want to generate text for. In the right top corner you will see a button with wand. Click on it and you will the options to generate text.

Choose whether you want to add additional context (you can also try first without) to guide the AI.

Click the "generate text" button to generate the actual text.

It uses all the current information in the exercise. Also any unsaved changes are used to generate the new text for the field.

How do I undo the changes?

One way is to just not save it and leave the page. You can also undo by using the "undo" option in the text field (e.g. using Cmd/Ctrl+Z).

Limitations

Currently their are two limitations:

  • Only users with unlimited access to the content AI features have the option available. We are collecting feedback before making it generally available.

  • The feature is disabled (greyed out) when the exercise has parameters. This is because this version does not yet support generation of parameters.

Feedback

This is a first version of this feature. We tested this internally, but we are looking for critical feedback on the feature regarding it usefulness and areas which require/need improvement.

Please contact us with any feedback you have!
