Grasple strives to make an easy to use and understand platform for both students and teachers. This guide outlines the key navigational features you need to be aware of as a student to use Grasple for your learning.
We'll cover the following pages and features of the Grasple platform:
Courses Page
The courses page serves as an overview of all courses you're enrolled in
Navigate between your courses on this page
Courses are organised in alphabetical order (excluding bookmarked courses, which always appear at the top.
Click on the "Courses" button at the top right of your screen to access this page
Tip: Bookmark the courses you visit most often. They'll always appear at the top of the list and you can apply a filter to show only bookmarked courses. Just click the bookmark icon to toggle bookmarked status.
Current Course Overview Page
The courses page serves as an overview of one course you're enrolled in
The blue progress bar at the top shows you your progress in the course
The course description button will show you your instructor's description of the course (if available)
Some courses have a course knowledge graph to show you connections between subjects. Read more about knowledge graphs here.
You can click on the course title to navigate to another course.
Click on the "Current Course" or "Grasple" buttons at the top of your screen to access this page
Courses contain modules, subjects, tests, and an indication of your mastery
Modules
Modules are groups of subjects, usually grouped based on a theme or learning goal.
Subjects
Subjects are collections of exercises, lesson slides, and other learning materials on a particular topic
On the course overview page, you can see the title of the subject and whether a subject contains lessons, exercises, or both
Click on a subject to see the subject overview
Mastery
See how well you're preforming using the mastery indicators beside each subject
White means you haven't started this subject
Red means you haven't mastered the subject and are missing some key skills
Yellow means you are on your way to mastery, but are still missing some understanding
Green means you've mastered the subject
Tip: Focus your studying and practice efforts on subjects with low mastery for more efficient and effective practice sessions
Subject Overview
Click on a subject to open the subject overview
When a subject contains lesson slides and exercises, you'll see these options
Start/Continue lesson
Start from the beginning of the lesson or pick up where you left off. This option includes all slides and exercises
Start/Continue practicing
You'll see only the exercises in the lesson.
If it's your first time, you'll start from the beginning.
If you're returning to your practice session, you'll pick up where you left off.
Restart practicing
If you've already started a practice session but want to start from the beginning again, select this option.
This option will only show you exercises, not the whole lesson.
