We released the new navigation user interface to help (newer) teachers find their way in Grasple. Over the years we have added multiple new features and the user interface for navigating between these features became hard to understand for newer teachers.

Since we have been adding features over the past years to make it easier to get started with Grasple, we needed more space to make it easier to navigate to those features. Since a horizontal navigation bar only has limited space, we switched to a vertical navigation bar.

With this change it gave us the opportunity to rebuild the navigational elements and organise them in a structured way, helping newer teachers find their way more easily.

Finally, this also allowed us to make the navigation bar collapsable allowing you to create a more focused interface without the navigation elements being present at all.

For now you can keep using the old interface. We recommend you switch to the new interface since this will be the new interface and the old interface will be removed within a couple of weeks time.

You can switch back and forth between the new and old interface on the "My Grasple" and "Courses Overview" pages.
