When to use the Is Unit Expression With Exact Quantity check?

This checks allows you to check if a given left-hand side (usually the answer given by a student) describes a given quantity in the same form. On the right-hand side you can provide either a:

  • full unit expression such as 2 N

  • only a quantity such as newton

If the exact form of the quantity is not important you can use the Is Unit Expression With Equivalent Quantity check.

How does the Is Unit Expression With Exact Quantity check work?

As a first step the check will extract the quantities from both sides. It will then continue to compare the quantities directly if possible or use the Exact Form check on the quantity expression given.
