Starting a test within Grasple is normally straightforward. When you navigate to the start screen you are greeted by a screen which looks something like this:

This screen shows the name and description of the test, a button to start the test, and information on how long you have to complete the test. When there is no time limit for the test there is no message shown.

To start the test, you simply press the button and the test will start with the first question:

However, it could be that you experience a longer start time or that you want to start a test which is not open yet. In the sections below we explain how these situations can be handled.

Longer start time

In most cases, the test will start shortly after you press the start button. However, if it is really busy on the platform or there are many users starting the same test there might be a delay. To inform you of this delay a pop-up will appear which explains the situation:

It is important to note that the time of the delay is not deducted from the time you have for your test.

Arriving before a test is open

A test can be closed at the current moment. If you arrive more than 30 minutes before the starting time the start screen looks like this.

Starting from the 30 minute mark a counter is displayed which counts towards the start time:

When the counter finishes the start button will be unlocked automatically:

You can then start your test by clicking on the 'Start test' button.

Any problems?

If you have any problems starting your test you can always reach out to customer support by using the chat icon in the lower right corner of your screen.
